About the game
A roguelite turn-based deckbuilder wordgame where your vocabulary is your weapon. Spell your attacks off a table of nine letters. Build your deck, collect rare letter cards, find hidden words (Galðr) that can turn the tide of battle in your favor!

Galdr Inkblade is a word-based roguelite that combines strategic vocabulary combat with deckbuilding mechanics.
Spell words to unleash powerful attacks, build your arsenal of letter cards, and battle your way through increasingly dangerous enemies. Every word matters, and every decision could mean the difference between victory and defeat.
Inspired by classic word-battling adventures and modern deckbuilding roguelikes, Galdr Inkblade brings a fresh twist to both genres.
Fight with words
Spell words from your hand of letter cards to attack. Longer and rarer words hit harder.
A huge dictionary
Over 300,000 playable words, each with its definition shown as you play.
Roguelike runs
Choose your path across a branching map of fights, elites, merchants, rest sites, treasure and random encounters, with a boss at the end of every act.
Six characters
Start as the Knight and unlock five more, each with their own trait and perk.
Elemental letters
Fire, frost, storm and venom cards burn, chill, shock and poison your enemies.
Creatures that fight back
Enemies have their own movesets: they steal your cards, eat your vowels, curse your letters and guard against short words.
Relics, blessings and curses
Build a run around them. Some change which words are worth playing, like double damage for short words or a bonus for nouns.

Unlock special letter cards between runs, build your Deck and bring your favorite cards into the next one.
Online and Local PVP
Host or join a private session online or locally and play against your friends!
Controller support
Fully playable on Steam Deck, any controllers plus full keyboard and mouse play.
