About the game

Every room needs your approval. Inspect hotel rooms and a presidential suite, uncover overlooked faults, photograph the evidence, and decide what happens next. Clear it for guests, send housekeeping, call maintenance, or close the room.

Original Steam description

Would you give this room to the next guest?

A made bed. A quiet bathroom. A lamp beside the door. Everything looks ready, until you start checking.

In Vacancy: Hotel Inspection Simulator, you play a hotel inspector working through guest-room assignments in first person. Open, test, look closer, and build a report from what you actually find. Your job is to decide whether the room is ready for its next guest.

Check beyond the first impression

Work through the bed, bathroom, desk, wardrobe, minibar, windows, and entry. Move the things that hide a problem and test the fixtures a guest will use. Some details are genuine faults. Others are harmless. Knowing the difference matters.

Turn observations into evidence

Use your camera to document a problem, then organise the findings in your inspection dossier. Choose a category, assess the severity, and keep track of the areas you have checked. A well-framed photograph makes a stronger case than a guess.

Make the call

Clear the room, send housekeeping, call maintenance, or take it out of service. Your grade reflects the faults you found, the accuracy of your report, your evidence, and your final decision. Review missed details and replay an assignment to improve.

From guest rooms to the presidential suite

Inspect rooms with different layouts, furnishing arrangements, and fault combinations, including a presidential suite with separate living and sleeping areas. Earn payouts, build hotel reputation, and unlock inspection equipment as you progress. A flashlight and UV lamp help you look beyond what ordinary room lighting reveals.

At a glance

  • First-person, single-player hotel inspection.
  • Five distinct room layouts, including the presidential suite.
  • Interactive furniture and fixtures with hidden faults and misleading details.
  • Photo evidence, fault categories, severity choices, and an area checklist.
  • Four inspection decisions with grades, payouts, and reputation consequences.
  • Unlockable inspection tools and replayable room assignments.
  • A teal-and-copper interface built around your inspection dossier.

The room looks ready. Put it to the test.
