8plus9 brings the talismans, incense and spirit beasts of Taiwanese temple folklore into an isometric action RPG. Start in a temple courtyard, descend into haunted chambers, and explore an abandoned manor and spectral caverns. Fight for loot and build a character of your own.

Slash, cast and find your rhythm

Chain blade attacks, unleash a spinning strike and dash into position. Mix exorcism spells, protective wards and healing to face melee spirits, ranged casters and charging bosses. Keep Crimson Tonic and Clear-Mind Potion ready to restore health and mana during combat.

Roll your stats. Make your name.

Choose the Temple Ronin or the Temple Spirit Envoy, roll six starting attributes, and name your character. Develop Strength, Dexterity, Vitality, Charisma, Spirit and Intelligence. Create up to three characters per account, each with their own progression, equipment and pets. Changing class consumes a Class Change Card.

Face the five elemental dragons

Discover enemies across different hunting grounds and track them in the bestiary. Venture into the dragon realm to face the dragons of Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth. Watch the warning areas of their large-scale spells and choose when to attack, recover or reposition. Each boss offers another reason to refine your build.

Bring a little company into the darkness

Use meat to open a capture window and recruit wild cats and dogs as combat companions. Give them names, enjoy their playful animations, and support them with group healing. Charisma affects how many pets you can capture. Equip a Spirit Beast Jade Pendant to switch to a mounted appearance.

Collect, craft and push your equipment further

Gather equipment for different body slots, keep duplicate drops and bring materials to the crafter. Enhance weapons beyond +9; failed attempts preserve the weapon and improve a later attempt's chance. Temporary talisman buffs help you prepare for your next hunt.

Fight actively or settle into a longer hunt

Auto-hunting finds enemies, attacks and uses potions, with automatic restocking when you have enough in-game gold. Keep hunting after moving to another hunting map, and return to simulated offline rewards. Chat with other players or meet them in the arena for a duel.
