About the game
A timed nervous arcade platformer where a punk toad spirals his way up rotating towers. 3 worlds, 30 towers, 3 stars per tower to earn against the clock, local and world best times, and a level editor to build your own towers.
Original Steam description
Toad Roller is a fast and demanding arcade platformer in which a punk toad climbs a sprawling fortress. Inspired by the golden age of 1980s home computers and arcade classics, the game is built on precise, timed gameplay, devious traps and a climb where every tenth of a second counts.
Community contest: your tower in the game
A level editor is included, even in the free demo: design, build and share your own towers.
The best creations will officially join the game, with their author’s name in the credits.
Leave your mark: your tower and your record, for the whole community to beat.
Gameplay
A rotating tower
The character spirals up around the tower, which turns as he moves. Ledges, stairs and doorways offer several routes: find the fastest one to the top while avoiding the traps and enemies guarding each floor.
A race against the clock. There are no lives to manage: your only opponent is time. Each tower has 3 stars to earn, each tied to a time to beat. Finishing a tower is within anyone's reach; earning all 3 stars takes perfect mastery of the route.
3 worlds, 30 towers. The game features 3 worlds of 10 towers each, with rising difficulty. New towers are unlocked with the stars you earn or the potions you collect along the way.
