Build a society of misfits, one card at a time. Stack cards to gather food, craft equipment and expand your settlement in this dark fantasy survival game. Recruit citizens, open mysterious parcels and explore new districts. Keep everyone fed, armed and alive.

A handful of cards. A table with limited space. A growing society that needs feeding every night. The Understack Society is a card-based survival and settlement-building game set in a dark fantasy world of unusual citizens and unwelcome visitors.
Stack cards to turn supplies into food, tools and buildings. Decide what to keep, what to sell and who to send beyond the safety of home.
Drag a citizen onto a Bramble Patch to gather Gloomberries. Stack the right materials with a worker to craft equipment, cook meals and build workshops. Each new combination gives your settlement something else it can do.
Space and food are always part of the plan. Build storage to make more room, organise your production and set enough food aside to feed everyone when the night ends.
Choose your first citizen and recruit more misfits as your society grows. Each has different combat strengths, and every new arrival brings another pair of hands and another mouth to feed.
Give them weapons and armour, share the work and prepare a group that can survive your next expedition.
Sell spare cards for Brass, then spend it on Card Parcels at the Moonlight Shop. Each parcel type has its own pool of possible finds, including food, crafting materials and building supplies.
Choose what your settlement needs, open the parcel and work with what you find.
Travel from the Courtyard to the Docks and Hollows in search of new resources, discoveries and the means to push further. Follow journal objectives as you work towards the danger beyond the gate.
Craft weapons and armour before confronting the creatures in your path. Battles play out automatically: your choice of citizens, equipment and preparation shapes the fight.
