Flat Earth Runner

Coming soon

BudooMasterChanDiscovered Oct 23, 2026

About the game

Endless runner. Sentient Yowie. Antarctic ice wall. The New World Order really does not want you finishing the lap. A PS1-style comedy about the dumbest possible way to prove the earth is flat.

Original Steam description

A Yowie woke up. Now it's running laps of the world.

Somewhere past the last research station, a cryptid became self aware. Not "oh look, a bush" aware. Properly aware. Aware enough to work out the world is a flat disc with a big ice wall round the edge, and that the quickest way to prove it is to run the whole way round.

The New World Order isn't keen on this. Neither are the greys. Neither is the dome.

How it plays

It's an endless runner. The track never stops. You dodge whatever the dome defence grid throws at you, ride slipstreams until the speed gets stupid, and it keeps getting harder the further you go. No levels, no difficulty menu. It just ramps up until it beats you. Then you go again.

Pick your cryptid

Yowie, Yeren, Chupacabra or ARC. Four shapes, four backstories, all of them a bit dodgy. Each one has extra skins, and the Workshop means people can make more.

Someone's watching

The HUD isn't a HUD. It's the desk of the poor bugger assigned to keep an eye on you, and you're looking over their shoulder through a CRT nobody has serviced since the Antarctic Treaty was signed. The speedo is a crystal ball. The progress bar is literally growing. Something in the corner is looking back.

100 bits of lore

Scattered across the ice are 100 lore fragments: field notes, intercepted transmissions, and statements from people who probably shouldn't have lived long enough to give them. Collect them to unlock each cryptid's bio and piece together what's really going on down there.

What you get

  • Original soundtrack, every track playable from the start

  • Steam Workshop for custom skins and your own songs

  • Achievements and leaderboards

  • Cloud saves

  • Controller support

  • Extra game split screen (PC only): open up to four more game windows side by side so more people can run on one PC

  • Every Steam feature can be switched off in settings if you just want to run

Made by one person in Queensland

Flat Earth Runner is just me. One person, a desk, and open source tools (Godot, Blender and Ardour) on Linux.

Just so we're clear

This is a comedy. Flat earth, the NWO, grey aliens, Antarctic cover-ups. It plays all of it dead straight because that's funnier. None of it is a real claim about anything. The earth is round. Please don't run to Antarctica.

Demo and release information

No demo is verified in the current check data. This does not mean the game has never had a demo; check its Steam page for current availability.
