A Little Frontier Beside Your Work

Welcome to Idle Frontier, an offline single-player idle survival and resource-management game told through text and a simple interface. Prepare food and water, start gathering, then get on with something else. The activity progresses on a timer without constant clicking or watching. Check back between tasks to collect the results, make supplies and decide what comes next.

Make a Little Room for Your Camp

Manually resize and position the game window in a corner of your desktop or beside your other work, and glance over at your resources and progress when it suits you. The game uses a conventional resizable window, not a transparent desktop pet or an automatically docked overlay.

When you have more time, tend your camps, chat with villagers or prepare for an active exploration trip. Hunger, thirst, storage and events that need confirmation still require occasional attention; this is not a fully unattended automation game. Need to concentrate? Pause whenever you like—the frontier can wait.

Start with a clearing in a fictional medieval world and gradually make it somewhere you look forward to returning. A brief visit can be a chance to prepare a little more for your next journey.

Start with Some Firewood and a Warm Meal

Set up gathering tasks, collect materials and craft dependable tools. Pack food and clean water before heading out, and keep an eye on hunger, thirst and your supplies. Cooking, pickling and drying help you make the most of what you've gathered. Your skills grow through use, making everyday preparations a little easier.

Make a Camp Feel Like Home

Choose a spot, build a camp, light a fire and add facilities that turn raw materials into useful supplies. Grow crops, look for better seeds and care for livestock. Establish camps in different places to give yourself a resting point on longer journeys. Watching a little planning turn into a good harvest is its own kind of adventure.

Stop by the Village and Make New Friends

Take a break from your chores and have a chat. Help residents with their requests, barter for what you need and get to know the people behind the familiar faces. A conversation or a helping hand can make an unfamiliar village feel a little more welcoming.

Follow Your Curiosity

Travel across a regional map generated from your world seed, notice the surroundings and wildlife, and prepare before choosing your next path. Your encyclopedia fills with things you've encountered, while new finds open up new possibilities. The surprises along the way? Those are yours to discover.

Find a Pace That Suits You

Play offline with saves stored on your own computer. Adjust the game speed and difficulty to suit you, enjoy making plans, or slow down to tend your camp and read your travel notes. I hope the frontier becomes somewhere you look forward to spending a little time.
