Grenade! : Pang Pang Survive!

GRENADE! is a party game for up to 8 players. During every match the crowd keeps throwing grenades and bombs into the arena, along with banana peels, eggs and drinks. Survival is the main mode: dodge the grenades, throw them back and be the last one standing. You can also mix kart races, sports and an obstacle course into the same match.

Catch and throw back

Every grenade that lands goes off after 5 to 15 seconds, and picking it up doesn't stop the countdown. With empty hands, the throw button does a catch: grab a grenade out of the air and send it straight back. If you miss, you fall flat on your face for a moment.

• Flat throws are fast, lobs go over walls, and bank shots bounce off walls to hit people hiding behind cover.
  
• Get right up next to someone and you can lift them over your head and throw them. If you're the one being lifted, wiggle left and right to break free.

Survival

The last player left wins the round. After 60 seconds, SUDDEN DEATH starts: grenades fall faster and faster and the blasts get bigger. Sticky and cluster grenades, the much bigger BOMB, barrels that carry the explosion further and supply crates with the odd trap inside change every round.

• Concrete Dome: a one-floor court with curved cover and angled corner walls that are great for bank shots.
  
• Crumble Dock: the floor planks and railings collapse after three blasts. Fall through a hole or into the sea and you're out.
  
• Terrace: a mansion terrace with an L-shaped second floor, a big staircase and glass railings that shatter on the second blast.
  
• Octopus Hell: a giant octopus sweeps and slams its eight tentacles. Last until the whistle at 2:30 and everyone still standing shares first place.
  
• Carrier: an aircraft carrier deck where you can pick up and throw small fighter jets and jump into the side cannons. In sudden death a tank comes up onto the deck.

Chain reactions and highlights

Your grenade can set off other grenades, BOMBs and barrels one after another. Longer chains and more wall bounces push the announcer higher, from SUPER SHOT! all the way up to GODLIKE!!!!!!!!, and multi-kills get their own calls from DOUBLE KILL to MONSTER KILL. After each round, chain reactions, multi-kills and ring-outs replay automatically, and at the end of the match you can watch up to three highlights.

Kart

Hit the gas right on GO for a starting boost. The longer you hold a drift, the stronger the boost gets, up to three levels. You can carry two of ten items, including grenades, BOMBs, bananas, a magnet and a ghost.

• Grenade GP Circuit: three laps through twelve checkpoints in order.
  
• Crossing Eight: when the signal lights up, karts from the other side are about to cut right across your path.
  
• Freight Crossing: right after the hairpin, a freight train crosses the track.

Sports

In sports events, getting caught in a blast doesn't knock you out. You go flying and get back up a moment later.

• Football: dribble and tackle for the ball. In team matches the goalkeeper can catch it with their hands.
  
• Basketball: only lobbed throws count as shots. Three-pointers and baskets banked off the backboard or a wall earn bonus points.
  
• Ice Hockey: a single swing hits the puck along with any grenades or bombs in range.
  
• Beach Volleyball (team matches only): receive, set and spike on the beat for a PERFECT, GREAT or GOOD.
  
• Speed Skating: three laps around an oval ice track. Once someone reaches the final lap, bombs start raining down.

Obstacle Run

A 250 m course split into seven sections that get shuffled every round. Get past collapsing platforms, bouncing balls flying in from all sides, spinning logs, fake doors, propellers and pop-up spikes, and near the end there's a stretch where bombs rain down. Fall into the water and you restart from the last checkpoint.

Rooms

• Jump into a Quick Game, or create a room and send your friends the invite code. You can pick the region too.
  
• The host sets the number of rounds, from 1 to 5, and picks the event and map for each one. Any round left unpicked is chosen at random.
  
• Play free for all or in teams. Survival allows up to four teams and the other events two, and teams don't have to be the same size.
  
• Add bots on Easy, Normal or Hard, and close any seats you don't need.
  
• Points carry over from round to round, and the highest total wins. When it's over, vote for a rematch to go again in the same room.
  
• When few players are online, AI players may fill rooms and play alongside you.

Animal friends

• Pick your favorite from a whole bunch of animal friends.
  
• The club room is the main menu. Drag to spin your character around, or tap them to hear what they have to say.
  
• The first time you play, an animal friend walks you through the basics in the tutorial. In Training you can try pitch, shot and strategy courses on your own and earn a grade for each.
  
• Put up to eight emotes on your emote wheel and pop them up as speech bubbles in the waiting room and during matches.
