About the game
Cut limbs. Cut names. Be the last one standing. In this chaotic multiplayer brawler, every letter of your name is a life. Lose them all, and you're UNSPELLED.
Original Steam description
YOUR NAME IS YOUR LIFE!
Most games give you a health bar. In UNSPELLED, your health is something much more personal—your name.
✂ ABOUT THIS GAME
UNSPELLED is a chaotic multiplayer party game where scissors are your weapon, your 7-letter name is your health bar, and every match turns into unforgettable chaos.
Slice off your opponents' limbs, cut away the letters of their names, steal their body parts before they can recover, and outplay everyone until you're the last name standing.
No health bars. No hit points.
Just scissors, names, and absolute mayhem.
Warning: Trust no one. Even your own limbs aren't safe.
✂ YOUR NAME IS YOUR HEALTH
Every player begins with a 7-letter name floating above their character.
Each letter represents one life.
Cut a letter away, and they lose a life.
Lose every letter, and you're Unspelled.
Example:
UNSPELL → NSPELL → SPELL → PELL → ELL → LL → L → Ghost
Simple to understand.
Terrifying when it's your name disappearing.
✂ LIMBS ARE MORE THAN COSMETIC
Every limb matters.
Cut off an opponent's leg to slow them down.
Cut off both arms and their scissor energy recovers much more slowly.
Detached limbs don't disappear—they stay in the world.
Carry them away.
Hide them.
Force your opponent to search for what's missing before they're back at full strength.
Every fight becomes a battle of positioning, timing, and sabotage.
✂ DEATH ISN'T THE END
Losing all seven letters doesn't mean you're finished.
You return as a Ghost.
Ghosts can temporarily possess detached limbs, dragging them away from living players or disrupting carefully planned strategies.
You may not be able to win anymore...
…but you can still create absolute chaos.
✂ BUILD YOUR OWN BATTLEGROUNDS
The maps don't end where ours do.
Open the Map Creator and build your own arena from the same pieces we use: portals, cannons, conveyor belts, chests, and more.
Choose the floor, the walls, and the sky.
Drop in a Reference Player to see exactly how big everything is.
Publish it, pick it in the lobby, and your friends get the map automatically when the match starts.
No downloads to hunt for. No files to share.
Bots can play on your maps too.
✂ MAKE YOUR OWN OBJECTS
Can't find the piece you need? Build it.
Create Asset lets you make your own objects from simple shapes: boxes, cylinders, balls, cones, and wedges.
Stack them. Turn them. Stretch them. Colour them.
Cut holes through them to make arches, tunnels, and hollow huts.
Everything you make appears in your library, ready to place in any map.
Your creations travel with the map, so every player sees exactly what you built.
Your maps and objects are saved to Steam Cloud, so they follow you to any computer.
✂ PUT YOUR FACE ON IT
Your character's head is a blank canvas.
Pick a ready-made face: a cat, a dog, a fox, a panda, a robot, and more.
Or use your webcam to snap your own face and wear it into battle.
It's completely optional.
Don't want to see faces? Press F to switch them off for yourself at any time.

✂ FROM THE DEVELOPER
"UNSPELLED began with one simple idea: What if your name was your health bar? Everything else—the scissors, the missing limbs, the Ghosts, and the Eraser—grew from that single question. The goal is to create the kind of multiplayer game where every match leaves players with a story they'll want to tell their friends."
