About the game
Medieval Squad Tactics is a turn based strategy game where your army is controlled by heroes instead of the player.
Instead of micromanaging and moving each individual unit on the map, you command captains who lead entire squads behind them, making your formations and positioning the main puzzle to work with.
Combat
Flank enemies to weaken their heavy formations.
However, don't overextend or getting surrounded will lose you the battle.
Gameplay details
The key points of the game are :
You only control the heroes, soldiers are controlled indirectly through the heroes
This system allows the player to control large armies without micromanaging units or using stacks
Balancing between defensive and offensive formations is essential.
The pressure usually comes from enemy buildings creating new enemies.
The player needs to destroy those enemy buildings without exposing their own units.
The main mode is campaign mode where you need to win several maps. Heroes' stats and experience are kept through the campaign
