About the game

In Cold War Britain, you will work through lost reports, photographs, letters, and artifacts as they arrive at the archive. Most seem routine. Some don’t. Follow the details, connect the cases, and decide what is worth digging into.

Original Steam description

Archive Zero is a narrative investigation and management game set in an alternate 1960s Britain during the Cold War.

You work behind a desk, sorting through reports, photographs, letters, artifacts, and other material that is sent to the archive. Most of it looks ordinary at first. Some of it is not.

Read carefully, compare information across cases, and decide what deserves your attention. As more files arrive, connections begin to appear between people, places, and events that were never meant to be connected.

Between investigations, you will manage resources, upgrades, and the growing demands of the archive itself.

FEATURES

  • Examine classified documents, photographs, artifacts, and field records.

  • Follow cases that range from routine incidents to much larger investigations.

  • Connect information across separate files and events.

  • Manage resources and archive upgrades.

  • Discover hidden cases and material.

  • Collect photographs, postcards, stamps, cigarette cards, artifacts, and other archival items.

  • Make choices about what to pursue and what to leave alone.

Sometimes the most important thing in a file is what is not written down.
