Reel Risk

Reel Risk StudioDiscovered Oct 8, 2026

About the game

It's your typical fishing game with a slight catch. Sail out, maintain your boat, and reel in whatever bites. The longer you are out there, the worse it gets. Go as long as you dare. Just make sure to come back alive.

Original Steam description

Reel Risk is a co-op fishing horror game for solo players or crews of up to four. Head out into a dystopian ocean world where the fish are strange and the creatures are stranger.

A simple job

Leave the dock, catch enough fish to meet your quota, and come back alive. Keep your boat and gear working while you reel in catches that make you question what is down there.

Gameplay collage showing a creature beside the boat, shotgun fire, open water, radar, rock pillars, a flooded interior and a steaming engine.

Keep your head together

The longer you stay out, the more your sanity slips. After dark, encounters grow more dangerous, and it gets harder to tell what is real. Keep the boat running, deal with threats, and try to stay calm.

Stock up before you leave. In this fictional world, beer boosts luck, cigarettes restore health, and fictional drugs increase movement speed. These are game mechanics, not real-world effects. A drug overdose can kill you.

One more catch?

Use your earnings to buy equipment and supplies for the next trip. Then decide how much you are willing to risk. Stay out for more fish, or head back before the ocean makes the decision for you.
