The plot of The Edge of the Backrooms follows an astronaut who discovers an anomaly known as a Null Zone on Jupiter’s moon, Europa. This Null Zone is located far from Earth, causing you to fall into the furthest reaches of the Backrooms ever depicted.
Immersive and ultra-realistic found footage gameplay.
Strange and uncanny locations spread across multiple levels.
A subtle combination of both liminal and cosmic horror elements.
Multiple branching pathways and endings. Each playthrough may be different.
An unsettling soundtrack.
Fully voice-acted.
You cannot die during gameplay. However, that does not mean you are alone.
This game features an auto-save/checkpoint system. If you see this road reflector, it indicates that you've just reached a checkpoint.
NOTE: This is my own interpretation of the Backrooms. It takes inspiration from Kane Pixels' series and The Complex: Expedition, but these projects are unrelated.
