RAKKA: WAKE 02 - DECEIT

Rakka and her companions are back for more – this time Bigger, Better and Darker than ever.

STORY

April 1993

A strange code got Rakka and her three flatmates out of London. Getting involved with it may have been the worst idea they’ve ever had. 

What began as an excuse to escape four directionless lives has become a road trip across Europe in pursuit of a set of unexplained coordinates. Now, after a disastrous night at a music festival, their already ill-advised road trip is beginning to feel like something else entirely. The coordinates are still waiting somewhere ahead, but the four friends are starting to suspect they may not be the only ones interested in where they lead.

With home far behind them, the group moves from one temporary refuge to the next — old friends, unfamiliar faces and people who seem trustworthy enough until they don't. Every detour brings new baggage. Every safe place comes with its own secrets. And the further they travel, the harder it becomes to tell whether they're escaping danger or driving straight toward it.

For Rakka, there is another ugly mystery rearing its head. Strange dreams, fractured memories and unanswered questions begin pressing their way back into her life, even her own mind becomes difficult to trust.

Meanwhile, the pressure of the journey is getting to all four of them. Old resentments resurface. Private histories refuse to stay buried. The people they thought they knew best start becoming strangers in ways that have nothing to do with the people chasing them.

As memory and manipulation become increasingly difficult to distinguish, each revelation exposes only another layer of a mystery far larger than themselves - forcing them to confront not only what is happening, but who they are becoming.

RAKKA: WAKE 02 – DECEIT is the next chapter of Rakka’s story, but is written for both new and returning players. No knowledge of RAKKA: WAKE 01 – SOOT is required.
