About the game
Brawl in a destructible combat arena. You can dig under someone or blow up the ground they're standing on. Build a cage and wait it out or build a bridge and escape. Play with up to five other people (or bots) and build your strategic arsenal choosing between 30 different weapons.
Original Steam description
Giblings is a real-time brawler for up to six players in a destructible combat arena. Dig through the ground, raise new ground of your own, and swing across it all on a grappling hook. Inspired by the 1998 game Liero.
Combat Arenas
Giblings comes with six hand-built maps, each designed to play a little differently. Some are made of floating platforms, with plenty of grappling hook and mid-air fighting that Teeworlds fans should find familiar. Others are packed with destructible soil, letting you tunnel through the map and fight underground. You'll also have to deal with hazards like lava, acid and deep water.
Multiplayer
Giblings offers a wide range of competitive and cooperative modes to keep the gameplay fresh:
Competitive Modes: Battle it out in Deathmatch, Elimination, or Battle Royale, either free-for-all or in teams. Battle Royale takes inspiration from Worms' classic "Sudden Death", with lava or shark-infested water rising throughout the match.
Co-op Gameplay: Team up with friends in Zombie Horde, where up to three players fight off waves of the undead. Choose from Easy, Normal or Hard, or customise zombie speed, health and numbers for an extra challenge.
Couch Play: Enjoy classic couch gaming with local split-screen support for up to four players.
Flexible Squads: Jump into 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, or chaotic 6-player free-for-alls. Create custom matches, mix humans with bots, or try 5v1 if you think you're good enough.
Themed Weapon Modes: Mix things up with Sniper War, Ninja Mode, Rockateers and other specialised loadouts, complete with matching cosmetics. Fight with sniper rifles, wield katanas and shurikens, or strap on a jetpack and take to the skies. Rockateers has been especially popular with former Soldat players.
These themed loadouts can be combined with any game mode. Ninja Mode + Zombie Horde, for example, was a favourite among our beta testers.
Single Player
Can't find anyone online? Find Game can keep searching in the background while you play Single Player.
Bot Arena is Giblings multiplayer, minus the other humans. Set up a match, choose your map and fill the other slots with Easy or Hard bots. Bots have different play styles too. Some hang back and snipe, some hunt down injured players, while others just come swinging straight at you.
There's also a procedural map generator for single player. Generate islands surrounded by water, acid or lava, or underground caverns for a more classic Liero-style fight. Tweak the terrain yourself or leave it random and see what comes out. Find a good one? Save the seed and play it again later.
Weapons and loadouts
Build a loadout with up to seven weapons chosen from twenty-one.
Then there are nine rare weapons. Things like the Gauss Gun, Banana Bang and Bee Jar can drop during a match. They have their own rack, so they don't replace your normal weapons, and you can carry up to three at once.
Every weapon has limited ammo, but there's no running around looking for more. Put an empty weapon away and it'll reload itself after a short wait.
Yes, the bees reload too.
Customisable Giblings
Pick from four different Giblings, then make yours look suitably ridiculous.
Each one has their own set of cosmetic options, with different hair, headwear and other bits to choose from. You can change their colours too, so there should be no confusion over which Gibling just fell into the lava.
Support
Giblings is a solo project. If something is broken there is one person to tell, and he reads everything.
