Hetero-Genesis is a 2D deep-sea action roguelite where your build takes the shape of a living creature. Graft organs onto your body, combine their abilities, and keep moving as waves of predators close in. Every dive leaves you with a different body—and a different way to fight.

Different bodies. Different beginnings.

Start with an octopus, jellyfish, sea snake, or another unlocked species. Each body offers a different starting point for your experiments. Discover ten playable species, including the nautilus, and find the shapes that suit your way of fighting.

Choose. Attach. Grow.

Pick an organ, choose its attachment slot, and watch it grow into your body. Placement matters: build around the parts you need, make room for new abilities, and weigh each upgrade against the strain your body can bear.

Bring your body into the fight

Close in with striking and piercing organs. Position your body to land hits, break enemy parts, and get clear before a dangerous encounter costs you a vital organ.

Build firepower into your anatomy

Graft ranged organs and send projectiles across the battlefield. Mix close-range pressure with attacks from a distance, then shape your movement around the body you have built.

A body that bends, stretches, and breaks

Flexible tentacles bend and stretch with your movement. Organs can be damaged or severed, and losing a key part can disrupt its synergies. Protect, repair, or replace the pieces that keep your build alive.

Ecological Graft: let another species take root

Evolution changes more than your stats. Choose Ecological Graft to bring traits of another species into your build, watch your body transform, and take its new possibilities into the next battle.

Make your build survive the pressure

Later waves fill the deep with enemies and overlapping attacks. Move, dash, and use active abilities while your organs do their work. A powerful combination still needs a body that can survive the next hit.

Fractured Mutation: become something else

When the option appears, choose Fractured Mutation to take a new species path within the same dive. Rework your approach around a changed body instead of waiting for the next run.

Face creatures built to stop you

Read a boss's attacks, find openings, and strike its vulnerable organs. Three boss encounters test whether the creature you have assembled can make it through a complete ten-wave dive.

Keep experimenting, dive after dive

Explore more than 100 graftable organs, unlock species and deep-dive contracts, and take on difficulty levels from A0 to A10. Choose whether to deepen your current instincts, graft traits from another species, or embrace a new form. The next dive is a chance to build something different.
