Original Steam description
Make every corner home
A new town, a few boxes, a bed and a new job: interior designer. Soon the neighbours start leaving letters. Rose, the baker two doors down, needs somewhere to sit. A fresh graduate needs a proper desk setup. And plants. Do plants count?
Nookmaker is a cozy decorating game about making other people's rooms feel like home, and slowly doing the same for your own.
Every room starts with a letter
Each client writes to you with a few wishes: a bed, two lamps, something soft underfoot. Any bed will do, so which one is up to you. But read closely. Some clients want more than they put on the list, and a little hint between the lines can turn into a bonus.
Place things the way people live
Turn a sofa toward the TV and pull a coffee table close. Set an armchair in front of the fire with a rug at its feet. Arrange a room the way people really use it and the game notices: a hidden combo clicks into place and goes into your journal. Nobody hands you the recipes. You find them.
Cozy is the goal
Every job has a cozy meter, and variety is what fills it. Ten matching chairs won't get you there. A reading lamp, a stack of books and a plant in the corner will. No timers, no way to fail. When the room feels lived in, it's done.
Decorate your way
Put anything anywhere, or snap to a grid when you want it neat. Set a lamp on a nightstand and it moves with it. Recolour each part of a piece, resize it, add patterns, then paint the walls and floors to match. Switch to night and see it all by lamplight. The catalogue holds hundreds of pieces, and on the job, everything you've unlocked is free to use.
A home of your own
Clients pay, and the money is yours. Spend it on furniture packs in the shop and they turn up at your apartment as a pile of boxes, ready to open. At home there's no list, no meter, no score. Just a small room, your things and all the time you want.
Finish every job in the neighbourhood and the next part of town opens up, with new neighbours and new rooms waiting.
