About This Game

Set within the original Backrooms universe, Backrooms 99 is a completely reimagined, cinematic horror thriller. It offers much more than just running away. Play co-op or solo to uncover a deep mystery where every room hides a dark secret.

Story-Driven Levels

Dive into a cinematic, heavy narrative. This is a brand new story created entirely by me, taking place within the familiar Backrooms lore. Every level is specially designed to give you a unique atmospheric experience as you progress through this reimagined universe.

Pure, Custom Graphics

Enjoy high quality, clear visuals without any artificial screen filters. As a solo developer, I built all the 3D models, materials, and environments entirely from scratch specifically for this game.

More Than Just Running

Survival is not just about escaping. You will need to solve puzzles and interact with your environment to uncover the dark secrets and survive in the Backrooms and when necessary, even fight back with weapons.

Familiar and New Threats

Face reimagined versions of classic Backrooms entities, along with completely new monsters created just for this game, encountering them in terrifying ways you have never experienced before.

Play Alone or Together

Uncover the mystery as a solo wanderer, or bring a friend in co-op to share the cinematic nightmare. Use the ingame chat system to communicate and interact. 1-6 Player.

Tools for Survival

Equip yourself with the tools you need to stay alive, progress through the levels, and defend yourself. You will use lights, scanners, screens, and weapons to navigate the deadly environments.

%100 Completion

Every single achievement can be unlocked entirely in solo mode. You are not forced to play multiplayer to reach 100% completion.
