The Pretty Big Pile

Coming soon

Erik RempenDiscovered Oct 12, 2026

About the game

There is a pretty big pile of colored cubes. Sort those cubes by color into trucks. That is pretty much all there is! This game came to me in a dream, so I made it. Treat it as something to chip away at over time, slowly uncovering whatever lies within the pile.

Original Steam description

Made with AI?

No. There is NO AI in this game. This was my own mistake to make, not an LLM's :D

I'm not going to tell people how to make games, but I truly enjoy the process and using AI would take away from the enjoyment of the craft.

Checkout my devlog on youtube to see how it was made.

About the Game

Sort cubes by color into trucks of different sizes. Each truck only holds one color, when it's full, it'll be replaced by a new, empty truck. There are a LOT of cubes to sort...

Treat this as an exercise of patience and way to quiet your mind in this noisy world. The goal is not speed, efficiency, high score or even skill, this is an exercise to remind yourself of the purposelessness of life, and to find joy in the simplest of things. Like organizing cubes by color onto trucks.

Wait is that REALLY it?

Yes! If you're not up for sorting a bunch of cubes, this is NOT the game for you!

There's just soft grassy hills and far too many cubes in a giant pile. Want to sort them?

You may have questions, but sorry, I don't have answers! This game came to me in a dream and I felt compelled to make it. So here we are.

It is what it is and can be no more or less.

There MUST be more to it, right? Hmmm...

This is an experience where you sort cubes. What else could there be? Here's what you can expect:

  • Rolling green hills and a deep blue ocean

  • Antique trucks to load cubes on

  • Care taken into the ambience and soundscape

  • A completely language independent game

  • Color blind accessibility options

  • Made without AI

  • Satisfying poofs of dust

  • The occasional oddity

  • A big ol' pile of cubes

Enjoy! <3
