Original Steam description
A cleaning job in the wrong place
The Liminal Cleaner - The Pools combines hands-on cleaning with exploration in a large, interconnected liminal world. You cannot remember how you got here. When you wake up in the Pool Rooms, most of your equipment is gone.
To find a way forward, search the pools, recover your tools, and clean the neglected spaces you pass through. Take your time. There is no need to rush, but it pays to look closely.
Clean at your own pace
Use a mop, sponge, feather duster, and cleaning solution to deal with different kinds of dirt. Some stains wipe away quickly. Others need the right tool or an extra step.
See the rooms change
Finishing an area does more than move a progress bar. Light, sound, and small environmental details can change, giving each restored space a noticeably different atmosphere.
Explore beyond the next stain
The Pool Rooms form one large, connected level of pools, flooded corridors, showers, dark rooms, and hidden passages. Equipment opens new cleaning options, while careful exploration leads to optional rooms and collectibles.
Piece together what happened
Research journals, VHS sequences, traces left in the environment, and brief encounters tell the story without pulling you away from the quiet pace of the game.
