Descripción original de Steam
Build. Jam. Share.
Chunk DAW is a multiplayer music sandbox where every song is something you build, block by block. Place sound blocks in a 3D world, shape them into melodies and beats, and watch your track come alive as the blocks light up and pulse in time. Then step back, hop on voice chat with friends, and jam together. It’s part instrument, part building game, and a lot of fun.
Compose with blocks, not menus
Every sound block is a note. Place, pitch, rotate, and sequence them right in the world. Add chords, change note lengths, nudge timing, or bend pitches into microtones. Turn on Ping Pong to bounce a phrase back and forth, or mark out Repeat Regions for the parts you want to loop. Scrub through your song to hear any moment, and bring your own sounds by recording samples in-game or dropping in your own. The game is the DAW.
A real mixer, right in the world
Open the built-in mixer to balance your groups and master with faders, live level meters, and mute/solo. Shape each block with EQ, compression, reverb, and pan. When the song is done, export the whole track, individual stems, or a live performance, and bring MIDI in or out to work with the rest of your studio.
Build a world worth playing in
Generate rolling terrain with biomes, oceans, rivers, lakes, and drifting clouds, then swim, wade, and listen to everything go muffled when you dive under. Grow villages with winding paths between the houses, or sculpt your own scenery with lines, boxes, circles, and a full set of building blocks in four sizes, from tiny details to huge landmarks. Add animated flora, change the sky, and play with retro video effects like pixelation, film grain, vignette, and dithered palettes. Switch between isometric, perspective, and first-person cameras, or use the cinematic follow camera to ride along with your song.
Play together, out loud
Build live with friends and hear the same track in sync. Low-latency voice chat is built in, with global and proximity modes, so you can sing, rap, or talk through an idea while the music plays. Stream your session to OBS if you want to share the jam with an audience.
Make it yours
Design pixel-art materials in the Material Designer, with selection tools, zoom, mirroring, glow, and up to 64×64 canvases. Build custom block skins and player skins and keep them all in your library, organized in folders. Everything you make can look as unique as it sounds.
Publish, discover, remix
A Chunk is a song. A Map is an album. A Prefab is a melody or drum loop you can drop into anything. Publish all three, browse the community’s creations, tag and search for what you want, follow and friend other creators, and remix the songs you love, with credit always tracing back to the original artist. Send a build to a friend with a one-click share code. Creators can flag explicit content, and parental controls can hide it.
Learn as you go, play how you like
A full interactive tutorial walks you through every part of the game, from your first note to mixing. Play with keyboard and mouse or a controller. Rebind any key, and use the accessibility options, including a photosensitivity warning and a Reduce Flashing mode. Unlock Steam achievements along the way.
