Inspired by SCP-134, expanded into a quiet, routine-based narrative centered on belonging, loneliness, and the gentle strangeness of existing out of step with the world.

The story builds toward a stormy final night, when a sudden power outage plunges the store into darkness. In the absence of fluorescent light and mechanical noise, the clerk sees the girl more clearly than ever before: her eyes reflecting faint constellations, her expression peaceful, her presence finally feeling natural in the dark.
