About the game

Idle Dig is an idle mining game that sits on your desktop and plays on its own. Collect 125 unique gems and items, unlock 15 skins, complete quests, and uncover the mystery at the heart of the planet.

Original Steam description

Idle Dig is a mining desktop toy that sits on your screen while you work or relax. Your salvage bot digs deeper into the planet on its own. Check in to collect what it found, buy upgrades, complete quests, and piece together the planet's secret one item at a time.

💎 Collect & Discover

Over 125 gems, minerals and relics are buried across the planet's layers. Each one has its own short story. Display your rarest finds as desktop trophies and slowly fill your collection.

⬇️ Mini Mode

Idle Dig is a discreet desktop companion. Resize it, mute it or minimise it to fit your screen and your focus.

🌈 Make It Yours

Unlock colorful skins to change the console's look and soothing soundscapes to help you focus.

✅ What Idle Dig Is

  • It’s a desktop toy that runs quietly in the background

  • It’s a collectible game

  • Progress happens whether you play or not

  • You can’t fail nor die. There’s no time pressure.

  • It offers 35-40 hours of gameplay with a small story and an ending

❌ What Idle Dig Is Not

  • Not an incremental game with exponential numbers

  • Not an active game that requires your constant attention

♥️ A Small Game Made With Care

Idle Dig is a solo project by Wizamin, a small game studio based in Zurich, Switzerland. Development started during the first game dev Bootcamp at the Swiss Games Hub, in Zurich, and grew into a full game when I fell in love with the genre. I hope you’ll enjoy its quiet dig and the surprises. – Piotr
