Hunt down innocent boatmen as they sail the misty lakes at night. Your lantern is irresistible to them, so use it to lure them close and harvest their souls. This dark, mysterious incremental takes those souls and turns them into upgrades. Can you become the all powerful Lantern Man of the lakes?

The Lantern Man Cometh takes place upon a lake deeply enshrouded in mystery. Rumours of a great beast, or perhaps demon, lurking far below its unfathomable depths have circulated for centuries, warding off those seeking a leisurely afternoon on the water. These rumours have all but faded, become mocked even, luring all that approach it into a false sense of safety and relaxation. How perfect for that unknowable force.

You play a sea creature, brought to sentience by that which lies beneath. Your task? The acquisition of souls. Your tool? A simple, innocent, harmless lantern, so beautiful, so... alluring. Just get your lantern close enough to the boaters of the lake and the Lovecraftian horror below will take care of the rest.

As you capture these souls, you'll be rewarded with an expanding upgrade tree, increasing your powers, and your abilities to harvest yet more souls. Oh what a delicious cycle, so simple. Appease the lord of the lake enough and you shall be rewarded yet further with a descension system, diving into The Deepening...
