Dead Rose est un action-aventure 2D en vue du dessus et en pixel art, mêlant l'exploration d'un Metroidvania et l’aventure épique d'un Zelda-like, dans un univers à la fois lugubre et magique. Tout est fait à la main, avec amour et passion. Inspiré de la vie de mon père, à qui je rend hommage.

Dead Rose is a 2D top-down action-adventure in pixel art, blending the exploration of a Metroidvania with the epic adventure of a Zelda-like, in a world that is both gloomy and magical. Everything is handmade, with love and passion.
Forget cozy games, cluttered interfaces and endless cutscenes: here, you play, you explore, and every new ability changes the way you play. The story is inspired by the life of my father, whom I honor by making this project.
Play as Lucky, a tormented soul who wakes up in an isolated graveyard, facing his own grave. Lost in the spirit world, he has only one goal: to find Rose, the love of his life, and unravel the mystery of the ritual that brought him here. Many dangers will test you and force you to grow ever stronger. Unexpected encounters and closely guarded secrets await you, if you can still tell good from evil.

A Personal Tribute
Dead Rose was born from a true story.
My father, Luc, was bipolar. In 2022, after years of hardship, he took his own life.
This game is my way of grieving, and of paying tribute to him through a medium I love: video games, which can approach death with poetry and lightness, without ever trivializing it.
