Stellar Abyss

In Stellar Abyss, you are an independent captain. Make your living through combat and escort work, or pursue exploration, mining, manufacturing, and trade. Set out from Departure Hub and choose your own path forward.

Fit your ship. Command the battle.
Combine weapons, defenses, propulsion, electronic warfare, and drones to prepare for different missions. Issue tactical orders, manage engagement range, and balance capacitor use against firepower and survival. Disrupt enemy support ships, protect a vulnerable transport, or withdraw before the damage becomes too great. Preparation matters as much as your decisions in combat.

Follow the signal. Bring something back.
Scan for hidden sites, investigate ruins and abandoned relays, recover salvage, and discover rare resources and temporary wormhole routes. Once you have a location, travel there and decide whether to push deeper or leave with what you have found. Getting home is part of the expedition.

Build a business, from raw materials to finished ships.
Mine resources, refine materials, collect blueprints, and manufacture equipment and hulls. Produce supplies for your own voyages, trade on the market, or take on hauling contracts. Consider where materials come from, where cargo needs to go, and whether the journey is worth the risk.

Travel alone—or find a fleet to call your own.
Complete contracts independently and build up your funds and equipment, or find other captains through public fleet recruitment. Contribute firepower, repairs, energy support, mining, or transport to shared rescue operations, mining runs, relay restoration, and convoy escorts. Form a corporation with your partners, share storage, and coordinate production toward common goals.

Take a chance. Be ready for the consequences.
Travel from protected shipping lanes into low-security borders and lawless space. Ships and cargo can be lost in conflict, making spare equipment, supplies, and a route home part of every departure plan.
