About This Game

In Tabletop Tycoon you start your own board game company with one desk and not much money. Design games people want to play. Research new genres and mechanics. Get your games onto shelves, build a following and work your way to the top of the industry!

Design the game

Pick a genre, a topic and the mechanics to go with them, then decide where your team should put its effort. Every component has to fit in the box, so a big idea may need a bigger box or a smarter design. Study other games to learn what works and what doesn't.

Grow your studio

Move into bigger offices, hire and train designers, and furnish the place the way you like. As your studio climbs the ranks you can run crowdfunding campaigns, print and sell your own games, and one day build your own factory.

Beat the competition

Rival studios are already at the top, and they don't like company. Release a game in their genre and they'll fight back with sabotage and review bombing. Every year at Essen, one game is named Game of the Year, and winning it is hard.
