About the game
A first-person dreamcore exploration game. Wander tiled pools, empty towns and stations above the clouds. Take photos, ride the trams, play the guitar and the arcade cabinets, or just sit and listen. No enemies, no chases, no jump scares. Only you, lost in your own dream.
Original Steam description
Drowning in your dream
Step into a dream you don’t quite remember having. Drowning Dream is a first-person dreamcore, liminal-space exploration game built around atmosphere, composition, and the quiet tension of the in-between.
Wander through architecturally strange, aesthetically curated spaces—hallways that feel too long, rooms that feel staged, places that seem familiar in the way dreams are familiar. Cinematic lighting, carefully framed camera movement, and artistic level design turn simple walking into something closer to drifting through an art gallery you can get lost inside.
There’s no combat. No monsters chasing you. No sudden jump scares. Just you, the space, and the feeling it leaves behind—sometimes calm and meditative, sometimes unsettling in a way you can’t quite explain.
Explore at your own pace, follow your curiosity, and let the dream unfold the way it wants to.
Things to do while you are there
Take photos. Find the camera and keep it. Photos save as real image files on your PC. Collect lenses and filters along the way.
Ride the trams. Trams wait at platforms above the clouds and carry you between areas.
Play the arcade. The cabinets run games made for this world.
Play the guitar. Pick it up and play freely, or follow one of the rhythm songs.
Sit, sleep, swim. Sit on chairs and lie down on beds. Wade through shallow pools and swim in deep ones.
Fall and rewind. Fall into the void and the world rewinds like a VHS tape.
