After the aliens took over, humans became "Maggots."
They call themselves "Uppers," and humans are called "Lowers."
—A whole life, drained dry in the factories of this underground world, flesh and blood eaten away.
And you, as one of these countless humans...
"I wanna go up to the surface and see..."
"I wanna taste fresh food."

In this damp, dark world, having a house is already a blessing among blessings!
—So will you choose the girl you saved, or the mysterious stranger?

Xingzhi
Was once kept as a pet by an Upper.
After her master died, she unexpectedly inherited her master's property,
and became the owner of this house.
Currently working hard to save up for a Rights Pass.
Ku Yi
Was tormented to the extreme by a cruel Upper when she was a pet.
Barely alive, she was picked up by Xingzhi.
Seems like she can live just fine as long as Xingzhi is around.
Qi Qian
A mysterious porter who appeared out of nowhere.
Seems connected to all the uneasy signs happening underground.
No one knows what secrets she's hiding.

"House of Maggots" is a visual novel with dark elements. Players take the perspective of "Xingzhi" and, by clicking choices, find the best ending for her life.
—Will you choose "Ku Yi," who suffered so much and was saved by you, or "Qi Qian," who eats sin with you and rebels against the system?
As you play, you'll learn their backgrounds and goals, and as relationships evolve, the story will branch into completely different routes and endings.
