Last Ride

《Last Ride》 is a first-person adventure of paranormal suspense about investigating and capturing spirits. You step in as a rookie investigator at the agency and enter anomalous sites where spirits lie hidden. You explore the scene yourself, search for every trace, examine clues that should not be there, and determine the kind of spirit before you. Then you follow the rules that apply to that spirit alone, and by those rules you track it, weaken it, and capture it.

Story

The protagonist's younger sister runs a paranormal agency. Lately, she tells the protagonist that a supernatural curse has settled on her, and that she can no longer run the agency. For her sake, the protagonist takes the agency over and looks for a way to lift the curse. Each time a case is cleared, the sister draws the spirit of that case back from the supernatural dimension. The curse does not lift. It passes to the protagonist. At the end, the protagonist returns to the original courtyard, seeking a means of redemption.

The Beginning

The game starts when an assignment comes in. The assignment leads you into an unfamiliar place. Switch on your flashlight, make a first survey, learn the site, and collect as much information as you can.

The Investigation

When a supernatural spirit shows itself, evade its pursuit. While you do, gather what you can of its story and its motive. Look for a way to counter it, or help it fulfill its wish. Once the spirit is restrained, open your camera, center it in the frame, and take the photograph that seals it.

Containment

When the assignment is finished, a portal takes you back to the agency. Contain the spirit in a special vessel.

Every spirit carries an obsession of its own. To redeem them is to redeem yourself.
