About the Game

Welcome to the City of Tales

The Enchanted Forest is gone.

In its place stands a dark metropolis of concrete, thorns, and neon 

lights. They call it the City of Tales — the place where characters 

end up when fairy tales stop working.

Every story has stopped. Fairy tale characters are frozen mid-arc, 

unable to move forward or go back.

You are Red.

Restoring the Plot — the force that once governed the Fairy Tale 

World — seems like the only solution. But is it really the right choice?

A story to uncover, one card at a time

City of Tales is a narrative card game where you explore a dark world 

laid out before you like a board game. Move your token, flip cards, 

face your enemies, and push Red's story forward.

Each Chapter is a Map of face-down cards waiting to be revealed. 

Exploring costs Fairy Points — manage them carefully, or Red will 

start to suffer. Along the way you'll encounter enemies, items, NPCs, 

and story-defining moments.
