Original Steam description

BEYOND ORBIT

Beyond Orbit is a persistent-world space MMO inspired by Earth & Beyond. Choose from three classes and find your place in a shared galaxy. In Beyond Orbit you'll fight dangerous enemies, supply the galaxy with ore, and fly trade runs throughout the sectors.

Real-time, tab-target combat rewards timing and coordination. Fly solo, team up with friends, or meet your next crew along the way.

Beyond Orbit is free to play and respects your time. There is no pay to win or battlepasses, support the game by purchasing cosmetic items!

THREE CLASSES

  • Warrior: Bring the firepower and hold the line. The Warrior is built to deal damage and take punishment and keep fighting when an encounter turns ugly.

  • Explorer: Keep your group moving and your allies covered. Open wormholes to bring pilots together, cloak your group mates, and mine ore through enemy filled asteroid belts.

  • Trader: Disrupt enemies, interrupt attacks and create openings for your group. Between fights Traders carry the biggest loads and craft the highest tier of equipment.

Every class can fight, mine, haul and craft. Each class has a specialty that has them playing an important role in the galaxy.

A GALAXY BUILT BY HAND

Nine hand-built regions carry you from level 1 to 50, each with its own people, dangers and reasons to return. Pick through the wreckage of The Seam, cross the scorched fields of Burnout, and push toward the edge of the map where a very friendly group of people is waiting to welcome you.

FIGHT

Clear pirates from trade lanes, face drones that should never have left the factory, and discover what lurks beyond the charts. Watch for telegraphed attacks, manage your energy and time your abilities. Take on what you can handle alone, bring a group for the hard targets, or call for help and see who answers.

MINE

Scan deposits and fill your hold with ore for crafting or trade. Hardness, richness and volatile pockets all affect which rocks are worth cutting and how much risk you take. For the most valuable resources, venture into the more dangerous sectors.

HAUL

Take quick local deliveries or commit to long, dangerous runs. Build your Hauler Rating from Unrated to Legend of the Lanes and see your deliveries change what stations have in stock.

CRAFT AND TRADE

Plan your projects at the Crafting Desk, build gear for yourself or other pilots, and buy and sell through the player-run Exchange. Some of the best equipment in the galaxy is built by other players, so make some friends!

STEP OUT OF THE COCKPIT

Visit vendors, find your next job or stop at the bar between runs. Sit down, have a drink and wave to the pilot beside you. Give your character a look of their own with suits, dyes, emblems and hats.

FLY TOGETHER

The only way to succeed in the galaxy is by working together. Group up and fly together in formation fighting tough enemies that drop the best loot. Don't have a lot of time? Queue up with friends in instanced content!

GUILDS AND PvP

Guilds open up new aspects of the game and collaboration improves the experience in Beyond Orbit. Settle your rivalries in ranked guild vs guild battles.

All PvP is opt-in, normalized, and takes place in dedicated arenas. Outside the arenas, carry on exploring, mining and trading at your own pace.
