Original Steam description
What Splorbit is
A horde survival game built on ball physics. You move, your balls fire themselves, and everything they hit bounces, splits, chains or explodes. Enemies come at you from every side, and the longer you last, the denser it gets. What the full game includes
- 5 worlds, each with its own enemies and bosses.
- 5+ playable characters, each with a signature weapon and a permanent upgrade ladder
- 12 balls with their own physics, and 3 evo-versions per ball
- Buffs that stack with the balls, and gambits that offer risk vs. reward on stats
- Different enemy categories to contend with: bosses, elites and champions
- Local co-op for 2 to 4 players on one screen
- Online leaderboards
- An in-game Compendium with a playable sandbox for every entry
How a run works
You control movement. Balls auto-launch and smash through whatever is coming at you. Enemies drop gems, gems fill the mana bar, and every full bar hands you a pick from the upgrade deck. Survive 20 minutes to clear the world, then keep going in endless mode for the leaderboard.Bosses
Bosses are made of iron and gold. Iron is impregnable but you can damage the gold bits. Gold areas might be hidden, might grow back or may be difficult to hit. Break all the gold and the boss goes down.Between runs
Gold you collect buys permanent character upgrades. New characters unlock by completing survival missions.Controls
Mouse and keyboard or gamepad. Auto-fire and auto-aim that you can override with twin-stick mode at any time. Built for PC and Steam Deck.
