Original Steam description
A Guard’s Life is Never Simple
In the heart of Haensburg, the largest medieval megapolis ever known, the sun rarely reaches the cobblestones. You are a young guard, fresh to the service and utterly confused by the tangled web of corruption you’ve been sworn to protect. Beyond the towering walls of Haensburg, the ancient forests breathe with a darkness of their own. Within those twisted boughs, things far older than the city’s politics wait for a guard to wander too far from the torchlight.
The Man of Iron: Shadows of Haensburg is a first-person action-adventure that thrusts you into a political crossfire where your sword is as important as your silence.
Unique 2.5D Visual Aesthetic: Experience a striking world where 2D sprites meet a fully realized 3D environment. Every building is a 3D puzzle made of flat art, creating a "Paper Theater" look unlike anything else on Steam. A Living, Gritty Megapolis: Navigate the sprawling districts of Haensburg. From the high-throned halls of the elite to the rain-soaked slums, every corner holds a citizen with a story—and a secret. Tactical First-Person Combat: Master the blade in visceral, high-stakes encounters. Face off against rival factions, desperate criminals, and those who hide in the city’s shadows. Your Choices, Your Fate: Political intrigue isn't just background noise. Your interactions with the people of Haensburg determine your path, leading to multiple endings that define the man you become. Immersive Mystery: Uncover why a "Man of Iron" is needed in a city made of glass-thin alliances.
