止战之战TGW是一款以一战史实为背景的策略卡牌游戏，玩家可以选择势力，真实地还原历史战场，还可以与其他玩家联机，一同畅玩本游戏。 本游戏基于传统CCG，牌桌会被分为4条独立的交战线。双方的总部会建在支援线上，在两条支援线之间是一条近方交战线和一条深远交战线。对战双方需要部署单位，并让它们占领近方交战线和深远交战线，以达到攻击敌方总部的目的。单位的部署和移动都有花费。是选择快速作战，以快制敌，还是缓慢铺场、逐步推进，这全由指挥官您来指挥。 游戏内所有单位和指令的平衡都会考虑历史背景，并根据该单位的背景战绩、精锐程度和本身强度进行单卡平衡，尽量避免让籍籍无名的部队拥有超出历史的数值和强度。
