About the Game

Welcome to Batikan! A turn-based fantasy RPG set in Kapuluan ng Malaya, a reimagined archipelago inspired by the pre-colonial Philippines, where history, mythology, and fantasy come together in an adventure through a world that feels both familiar and wonderfully strange.

You don't have to be Filipino to enjoy it. But you might learn a few Tagalog words along the way. 😉

Travel through lush forests, towering mountains, winding rivers, and settlements inspired by the diverse cultures of the Philippine islands. From the highlands of Ipugo to the lands of Lusong and Mandaya, every region has its own identity, traditions, and stories.

Take your time looking around. Meet the locals. Discover places tucked away from the usual paths. Just remember, this isn't quite the Philippines you know from your history books. We've taken a little creative liberty. Okay, maybe more than a little.

An adventure wouldn't be much of an adventure without a little danger, would it?

Batikan features turn-based RPG combat, where strategy, preparation, and the choices you make in battle matter just as much as strength. Drawing inspiration from Filipino martial traditions and historical weaponry, combat brings together different abilities, fighting approaches, and tactical encounters. Learn your skills, understand your opponents, and make every turn count. Of course, you could always charge into battle without a plan.

But perhaps think about that for a turn or two.
