Original Steam description
Cendres is a single-player action roguelike in isometric 3D. Descend into a forgotten tomb, explore procedurally generated rooms and face the guardians of its depths. Your equipment, talents and mastery of combat shape every attempt.
Read the attack. Find your opening.
Watch your enemies’ movements, manage your stamina and choose when to strike or dodge. Each weapon family brings its own rhythm and abilities. Adapt your approach to enemy groups and bosses with multiple combat phases.
Build your own fighting style
Find weapons, equipment and relics. Combine their effects with skill trees, then use the forge to improve your gear. Each discovery can offer a new way to approach the descent.
Explore the depths
Seven floors lead from crypts through forges to icy heights. Follow branching paths, uncover secret passages and solve puzzles to reach hidden treasure. Traps, hazardous terrain and optional encounters make your route matter.
Resume your descent. Learn from each attempt.
Local saves let you resume an ongoing descent. Death ends that attempt: begin again with a better understanding of your enemies and new possibilities for loot.
