Have you ever faced the choice of living the life others expect, or the life you truly want, even if it’s difficult? If so, this is your game. Kowareta is an RPG with an unusual combat system and a silent world that says a lot.

Explore not a world, but a person, a teenage fencer.
In kowareta, you follow a girl pushed into competitive fencing by her parents. As pressure builds, she begins to turn inward, where intrusive thoughts take form as tangible encounters, ones you may choose to reject or embrace.
The experience favors atmosphere and interpretation over constant dialogue. Much of the story is told through symbolism, visuals, and emotion rather than explicit explanations.
Combat is built around an unusual system where you draw to attack and parry enemy moves through a rhythm-style minigame. Success depends on timing, observation, and understanding each enemy’s behavior.
The way these encounters are faced has lasting effects.
Acceptance and rejection both carry weight.
