Ashenburrow

Ashenburrow is an underground survival and simulation game where every creature, every NPC and every resource follows its own rules of life. You are not the hero of this place. You are the newcomer.

An ecosystem that breathes

Wildlife doesn't just wait for you to fight it. Armoured isopods, darting springtails, burrowing mole rats, stealthy shadow spiders: each species seeks food, mates and safety. A juvenile follows its parents, an adult guards its eggs. Break one link in the food chain, and the world adapts.

You are not alone down there

Goblins, bandits, adventurers: other groups came down before you. They set up camp near water, gather, craft, keep watch, talk to each other… and fight over territory. Nothing is scripted: everyone weighs the situation, picks their goals and plans their actions.

Lead your expedition

Pick up to four companions at the start, each with their own affinities, then give your orders: follow me, hold the line, build. Mark a campfire as the heart of your camp, and your group organises itself around it.

Light is a resource

Underground, light is not a given. Your vision is a cone ahead of you; whatever leaves it vanishes from the screen. A well-placed torch protects you as much as a weapon, a campfire warms you and cooks your meal… and announces your camp to everything that prowls. And even underground, night falls.

Survive, craft, build

Hunger, thirst, fatigue, wounds: the depths punish carelessness. Mine, gather, butcher, cook. Lay down your blueprints and watch your group build them: workbench, chest, kiln, smokehouse, drying rack, pottery wheel, sewing station, forge. Each station unlocks its own recipes. Your character improves by doing: what you do shapes you.

A simulation, not a hack'n'slash

Ashenburrow is not a dungeon to clear. It's a world to understand, to exploit with patience… and to respect. The world is procedural: five biomes, different tunnels and ruins every game.

Together

Play with 2 to 4 people in the same world. Join a friend's game and lead your own expedition… or ask to take over one of their colonists: if they agree, you pick the character up right where it was. The map is shared within the group, and if you leave, your character stays in the world until you come back.
