About the game

Play as a postman delivering a letter over a quiet mountain path. See the sights, journal your observations, discover secrets and piece together a story you can't experience all at once.

Original Steam description

Letters Past is a 2D narrative adventure game about distance and perspective.

Play as a postman deliver a letter written by somebody else. With only the company of the vast, billowing wilderness around you, see what thoughts surface as you step, one foot after another, over fields and valleys and mountains, for a week.

...Hm, well, that's really not that long. In the grand scheme of things.

But even so, a lot can happen in a week or two.

Today felt familiar. What happens tomorrow?

  • A unique journaling mechanic that does not show its hand immediately.

  • A story that starts where it ends, punctuated by moments of awe, mystery and foreboding.

  • An evocative soundtrack accompanied by a grounded pixel art aesthetic.

  • A focused, intentional main story that will only take you an evening to get through. Best played during rain with the window open.

  • A collection log of every journal entry you have ever seen, across all of your playthroughs: great for collectors or secret hunters.

CONTENT WARNING

While Letters Past is not a horror game, some parts of the game may instill a sense of unease. Please proceed with caution.
