Original Steam description

THE ANSWERS DON'T ALL LIVE INSIDE THE GAME.

A symbol on a screen. A detail you recognise but can't quite place. A connection that suddenly makes sense after you look it up.

IN & OUT is a first-person puzzle game that asks you to bring knowledge from the real world into Project ISO's experiments. Open a browser, consult a book, or ask someone who might know.

Research is part of playing. What you do with what you find is up to you.

OBSERVE. RESEARCH. CONNECT. DECIDE.

Study each room and work out what information you're missing. Follow a lead beyond the game, then return and put your discovery to the test.

Recognising a reference is only the beginning. You still have to understand what it means here—and which answer to choose.

ONE PLAYER. MORE THAN ONE MIND.

Follow your own reasoning or talk through a puzzle with a friend.

Streaming? Your viewers can investigate clues, recognise references and challenge your theories. Someone spots a detail. Someone else finds a connection. You make the final call.

IN & OUT is a single-player game. The investigation can be shared.

PROJECT ISO IS WATCHING.

A silent facility. Unfamiliar tests. An artificial intelligence observing your decisions.

Explore its cold rooms, decipher its experiments and uncover the intentions behind them. Every answer is a decision made under observation.

PLAYTIME

Around 3 hours for a first playthrough, depending on your research, puzzle-solving pace and retries.

What will you bring back from outside?
