Summer Syndrome

• Mankind finds itself in an age of over-ripeness, where technology and culture flourish in dazzling splendor, yet the core of society has long been quietly decaying amid extravagance. The Summer Syndrome spreading among the youth is the fever of an era burning relentlessly. Jingyang Academy becomes the stage for this enigma, where the mysteries surrounding "them" will unfold one by one.

Synopsis

The story begins at an elite private school. As a top student who barely leaves an impression, you (the protagonist) find yourself being harassed in class by the "little devil" Kikina. What seems at first like another tedious entanglement takes an unexpected turn when Kikina finds herself short on money—giving rise to a new bond between you…

Meanwhile, in other corners of this stage, various events unfold simultaneously: a mysterious plane crash, a secret organization operating in the shadows, the increasingly rampant "Summer Syndrome," and an unknown contact from beyond humanity…

Caught in the midst of this vortex, you (the protagonist) will bear witness to where this era—one as feverish as high summer—is ultimately headed.

Characters

Kikina (綺心奈)

Age: 18
Birthday: June 1

Hobbies: Fashion items, desserts, gaming
Dislikes: English

Known as the "otaku-friendly angel," Kikina loves sharing game攻略 online and has a loyal fanbase. She's also a popular beauty at school, but her passion for breaking school rules makes her a prime target for the discipline committee.

Blunt and outspoken, Kikina often says things that make others blush—though she herself seems completely unbothered by it.

Her catchphrase: "Not liking Kiki is a crime punishable by death~"

Byakuya Aoi (白夜葵)

Age: 18
Birthday: February 18

Hobbies: Solitude, trying new foods
Dislikes: Herself, other people

A girl who always has bandages somewhere on her body, Aoi dislikes interacting with others. Due to her frail health, she often skips class—something the teachers have grown accustomed to and tend to overlook.

With her unmistakable air of elegance, she is often mistaken for a young lady from a distinguished family. Her refined demeanor also leads people to assume she belongs to the archery club or the tea ceremony club. Her response? She doesn't join any clubs. Aoi is simply a member of the "go-home club." Perhaps, unexpectedly, she's a bit of an eccentric otaku…

Natsubi Ai (夏日愛)

Age: 18
Birthday: December 25

Hobbies: Soccer, summer, penguins
Dislikes: Global warming

A girl who adores summer, Ai's favorite animal is the penguin. Claiming to be from Antarctica, she once played left wing for the newly formed Antarctic soccer team. After transferring to Jingyang Academy, she single-handedly dominated the school's soccer team, leaving everyone in awe.

As a proud owner of a mansion in Antarctica, Ai fears that global warming will melt the ice caps and sink her beloved home. A passionate environmentalist, she founded the "Love Antarctica Club" and patrols the school daily, making sure all air conditioners are set to 26°C or above.
