In a country where no one had ever been able to lie, the development of lie herb for the intelligence service changed everything. Politicians began using this new ability to serve their own interests, while the mafia turned lying into a profitable trade. Now the government wants that power all to itself.

You are Ekoman. A government-developed serum has given you the ability to detect lies. Your assignment is to infiltrate Rauf Gürkan’s crime family and uncover the network behind the lie trade. To earn their trust, you must collect protection money and take part in the family’s dirty work.

As you run the mafia’s operations across the city, you must keep your work for the intelligence service hidden. You have orders to follow—and people who are beginning to trust you. Rauf’s approval, the power you gain, and the personal bonds you form gradually blur the line between your mission and your own desires.

Showing mercy to a shopkeeper may look like weakness to the mafia. Exposing a lie could cost someone their life. Protecting someone who trusts you may mean keeping the truth to yourself.

• Collect payments and examine the books: Inspect shopkeepers’ ledgers and documents to identify underpayments. Grant more time, apply pressure, or cover the shortfall yourself in certain situations. You can also confront anyone holding back your cut with your fists.

• Raids and business defense: Fight shopkeepers and their bodyguards. When the rival mafia attacks businesses you collect protection money from, intervene. Fail to help, and you risk losing control of the business.

• Lie production and distribution: Manage production facilities, warehouses, and your distribution network. Control shipments and invest in faster production and deliveries.

• Covert intelligence operations: Discover the key figures behind the lie network and unravel their connections as the story unfolds. Carry out assassination missions targeting politicians and mafia leaders without letting the family know.

• Competing interests and side missions: Take on requests from the government, anarchists, shopkeepers, and mafia members. As you build relationships with different groups, remember that earning one side’s approval can cost you another’s trust.

• Fistfights and pistol combat: Get directly involved in close combat and shootouts. Restore your health by stealing drinks from the corner shop. Just be prepared for what the shopkeeper has to say.
