About the game

Out of Body is a block-pushing puzzle where your own death is the solution. Turn into a ghost, possess the dead, and use their bodies as tools to free trapped spirits from their own regrets to save your sick child after making a deal with a hooded stranger in over 100 hand-crafted levels.

Original Steam description

Out of Body is a block-pushing puzzle game where death isn't the end of a level, it's the first step to solving it.

Key Features

  • Mend broken souls in exchange for helping your sick child.

  • Collect lives to turn into a ghost, possess skeletons, and carve yourself a path to reach the goal with your original body.

  • 100+ hand-crafted levels

  • A branching overworld that lets you choose your own route forward

  • Every solution starts the same way: you have to die first.

Die and Possess Skeletons

When you die, you don't lose the puzzle, you gain a new piece: possess your own corpse, alongside every skeleton in the level. Leave the corpse behind and its weight can hold down buttons.

Smart Ways to Die

Don’t waste a life to turn into a ghost, death can also be free!

Get creative and use the environment instead: freeze yourself solid, get crushed by a boulder, burn to a crisp, drown, fall into a bottomless pit, or blow yourself up and go out with a bang.

Possess all the dead things!

It's not just skeletons.

Possess a burning skeleton to torch what's in your path, a mimic disguised as a pushable crate, a snake whose body stretches across multiple tiles, a bird that glides over obstacles but too nimble to push crates, or a dead tree whose roots can shift entire islands.
