Bookmark Hero

Bookmark Hero is a high-fantasy, peripheral-idle RPG set in the vast kingdom of Arshrein. Play from a bookmark-sized window on the side of your screen and command your hero indirectly by giving them tasks. Watch as they explore lands, conquer monsters, hone skills, craft gear and weapons, and embark on quests. Even as you work, their legend unfolds.

The world of Arshrein is filled with diverse regions and points of interest. Venture forth to uncover new opportunities, stories, and riches — but be wary. The further you travel, the more dangerous the roads, and the greater the quests that wait. As you level up your skills, you’ll be ready to take on tougher, more legendary work.

Create a hero that fits your style with multiple races, hairstyles, and visual customization options. Gear defines both your appearance and your bonuses. Whether you aim to become a master wizard, a hardened warrior, or a precise ranger, crafting and equipping the right items is key to shaping your hero’s strengths.

Bookmark Hero keeps to a small window on the left or right of your screen, including across multiple displays, with room to play and room left for everything else. Tell your hero to chop wood or fight goblins, and they manage their own inventory and carry on until you say otherwise — while you stay on your work, a browser, a chat, or even another game.

Every kind of work can be taken all the way to mastery. Send your hero into battle and let the blade, the bow, and the staff each become their own path. Set them chopping in the woods, or send them deep into the mines. Skin the game they bring down, and forage the plants along their path. Become a smith and forge the weapons they carry. Fletch their bows, work their leather, and tailor their cloth. There is alchemy to brew, and books to bind. Become a hunter or farm the land. Cast a line until your hero is a master fisher, or cook until they are the best chef in the land.
