A once-cozy mansion on the outskirts of town becomes the heart of a nightmare. Seventy-year-old Olivia Sanders is found brutally murdered, and her caregiver, Clara Turner, vanishes without a trace. Suspicion falls on Clara, and the investigation moves swiftly forward. But the victim's grandson, Detective Ethan Sanders, is barred from taking part. Removed from the case and forced to take leave, Ethan is driven by grief, unease, and an inner voice to make one decision: investigate the murder himself.
That very night, he enters his grandmother's sealed-off home. Instead of answers, he finds something far worse. The house has a life of its own.
