Night Shift at the Cement Plant

About the game
Description d’origine sur Steam
THE JOB
You've been hired for the night shift at a cement plant in the middle of the desert. Your responsibilities seem simple:
Operate the train to load the assigned number of rail cars with clinker before your shift ends
Keep your workspace clean by sweeping, removing trash, and cleaning up after lazy co-workers
Monitor the control systems from the station office
Keep the conveyor belts and electrical systems running
A simple industrial job with decent pay. Nothing to worry about… right?
THE AMBIENCE
As darkness settles over the plant, you realize you're not alone. Strange noises echo through the train station. Shadows move where they shouldn't. Thick night fog hides what's ahead and disorients you while you work.
Your routine tasks get more dangerous as you're forced into the darkest corners of the facility:
Navigate poorly lit industrial areas when systems mysteriously fail
Repair critical equipment while something hunts you
Balance finishing your work with staying alive
Explore the open plant, including the underground tunnel network beneath it
THE THREATS
Skinwalkers stalk the perimeter, stalking you and copying human voices to lure you into traps
Power outages leave you in total darkness
Your sanity slips, and 12-hour shifts leave you tired and loopy. Maybe even crazy...
You're completely alone in the desert, with no help for miles
FEATURES
A cement plant setting inspired by the developer's real job. Yes, I actually work at one.
Open-world exploration of the train station, including the silos, the dome, the train yard, and the underground tunnels
Sanity system, so stay hydrated! Sleeping on the job and waking up somewhere else sounds scary
Dynamic desert fog that limits your visibility and builds tension
Industrial ambience mixed with sounds that shouldn't be there
Can you finish your tasks and survive every night shift, or will you become another disappearance the company quietly covers up with "safety"? You could have quit before you signed the contract. Now all you can do is make it through the night.

A SOLO DEV PROJECT
Night Shift at the Cement is made by one developer. The music and voice acting are created by talented collaborators, and the rest of the game is built by me with very minimal use of AI assets. I work at a cement plant, and the night shifts inspired this game.
You'll see an AI tag on this page. The details are in the disclosure section below. I'm building this game with care, and community feedback is a prioty to me and directly shapes the game!
DISCLAIMER
Night Shift at the Cement is a work of fiction. While inspired by the developer's real-life experience working night shifts at an industrial plant, the layout, characters, companies, and events in this game are fictionalized and do not represent any real facility, employer, or person. Any resemblance to actual places, companies, or people is coincidental.
