Astro Architect

Astro Architect is a space city builder where you don't decide what gets built. Your employees do.

Every cycle, your crew votes for what they need most. Hungry workers want food, sick ones want medicine, bored ones want entertainment. The vote decides which card packs you can buy, and you build your station by playing those cards.

The megacorporations stripped Earth down to the last rock, and nations ceased to exist. Humanity now lives on corporate space stations, because there's nowhere left to go back to.

You're the station's new Architect, hired by the Corporation. The CEO wants results ASAP, the trade union wants something to brag about, and every employee who starves is just one more row in the "dismissals" spreadsheet.

Build with the cards you're dealt

• Lay out corridors and mark out rooms, then fill them with quarters, farms, foundries and workshops.

• Keep noisy industry away from the quarters. Noise lowers morale, and with it the taxes your employees pay for the privilege of working on the station.

• Warehouses and logistics drones keep goods flowing. You plan the layout, and specialized drones handle the rest (unlike people, they don't complain).

• Expand into new regions to reach new deposits.

Keep your employees (relatively) happy

• Food, water, healthcare, entertainment, clothing and energy. Every rank of employee needs more than the one below it.

• Promote Workers to Technicians, then to Engineers, unlocking new resources, buildings and needs.

• Every ten cycles, the factions elect the station's trade union. The union influences the next vote and sets its own goals. Earn its loyalty to gain technology points.

Survive the Void

Without warning, a Void wave sweeps through the station. It shuts down buildings, destroys supplies and costs you people. Study the Void to predict the next wave, and invest in security before it hits.

Corporate life in space

Answer holo-mails from your assistant, other Architects and the CEO personally. Celebrate Cat Day, survive inspections, decide what to do about a corruption scandal, and keep the CEO happy enough that you keep your job.

Send expeditions into deep space

Choose a ship, crew and cargo, roll your Move, Scan and Counter dice, and chart a course through unknown sectors. Trade at stations, dodge patrols, risk answering distress signals, and come home with resources and survivors in hibernation pods.
