About the game
It's 1978 and Mara Venn cleans the treatment rooms at a private clinic, nights only. The register says Chamber Six is empty. There's someone in the chair. A first-person psychological horror game about a job you can't afford to lose.
Original Steam description
Mara needs this job. Her brother Owen's treatment isn't cheap, and the clinic pays well for the night shift: mop the floors, restock the linen, sign the form, don't touch the equipment.
Nocturnal Services helps people. Families come in grieving and leave holding someone they lost. Mara has never asked how. Tonight the rooms aren't as empty as the paperwork says, whoever is under the sheet in Chamber Six remembers how Mara wore her hair last time, and the man who runs maintenance keeps telling her to just do the floor.
Ritual Chamber is a story-driven first-person horror game in twelve chapters. You'll clean, carry, sort and sign your way through one long night shift, talk to the people you work with, and make choices the clinic writes down.
What's in it
One night shift in a 1970s private clinic, told in twelve chapters
People who talk like people: a co-worker who fusses over your tea, a boss who always remembers your brother's name
Ordinary jobs that turn on you: a washer that spins with no power, a lift that won't stop, a register that won't add up
No combat. Your choices are the only thing you can use, and the clinic keeps a record of every one
A look built from crushed shadows, one colour per chapter and old print grain
