Original Steam description
Repair everyday objects. Face a past left unanswered.

Some Things Stay Broken is a short narrative adventure told through conversations, object inspection, and simple repair interactions. You fix things for your customers while avoiding an old phone of your own. Its messages and seven missed calls from your father bring you back to words left unsaid.

Listen to your customers, examine their belongings, and piece together a family history through the phone. Whether to reach out at the end is your choice; no hidden score judges the relationship.

Features
- A prologue, five chapters, and two epilogues.
- Around 30 minutes of single-player storytelling, depending on reading speed and exploration.
- Mouse controls, with settings and saving/loading accessed through an in-story phone.
- Traditional Chinese interface and text, with prerecorded voices, music, and ambience. English gameplay is not currently supported.

Content note
The story explores bereavement, grief, guilt, and family estrangement.
